We put so much thought into creating the perfect environment for our little Emma. Because we knew we were having a girl, it made it a bit easier to design. However, you just never know, so we had to make sure that whatever we came up with would also work for a boy.

Matthew came up with the bright idea of painting a mural on the wall of a castle scene which would work well for a boy or a girl.

Matthew knew this great mural artist who came over to our house and created this beautiful scene. I couldn't believe how quickly she did it. It only took her three days to complete the entire wall.

Because we knew we could return it if we did end up having a boy, we decided to put a little more "girl" into the bedding choice. We chose a very subtle rose pattern. It coordinated well with the room and gave it that little girly touch that we wanted.

Now, all we need is Emma!
