She's Just So Perfect!
I know they say that you will just melt at the sight of your child, but I never knew just how much your heart can ache from so much love. From the minute I saw Emma, I was overwhelmed with joy.

The First Six Weeks
They said that this would be tough, but, WOW, is this tough. Emma is complete backwards with her sleep schedule. She's a great sleeper during the day, but at night she's up most of the time. Matthew and I are getting by on fumes right now. It's a good thing they're so darn cute.

They're Right About That Three Month Mark
Sleep is still a rare commodity, but it does seem to be getting much easier now. Emma is at least sleeping 3 hour stretches as opposed to 2, so it feels like we are at least getting some sleep.

It makes it all worth it when she smiles at you though. It just melts my heart every time.

She's Crawling Now!!!
Wow, what a difference crawling makes. On the one hand, its very handy because Emma can now get to her toys on her own. On the other hand, we really have to keep our eye on her now. She can get to the other side of the room in a heartbeat. Matthew and I are feverishly trying to baby-proof the house.
