I remember thinking that I couldn't imagine loving another little being, except, of course, my wife the way that I love my little dog, Tyrone. I was really afraid that I wouldn't be able to find it in me to love her that much.

Amazingly enough, it happened! Although I still love my dog very much, my daughter has my heart. I have never experienced the amount of unconditional love that I have for her before, and I love it.

Emma is babbling like crazy now. I think she said "Dada" and she was looking right at me. It's just so rewarding to see her progress into a little person.

We took Emma to the zoo today. She just loved all of the animals. Her favorite was the butterfly house. The butterflies came right up to her and she tried to touch a few of them.
