Christmas Ornaments

This is my Christmas ornament photo album.  Mommy buys me a new one each year for Christmas.  We don't put them on the Christmas tree because we're saving them for when I get older.  Each ornament has a story behind it and it relates to something that happened during the year:

2003 - First Christmas
2004 - New Puppy, Caliente (aka Cali Girl)
2005 - New Swimming Pool
2006 - Disney's Cars Movie

Little Hawker - 09/05/2005

Here's a poem that my Great-Aunt Patti wrote:

There is a boy named Tiger Jake,
Believe you me he is no fake.
He's active, agile, and on the go,
He's a happy child to all we know.
Sometimes he is a little darin',
Which can cause his Dad a little swearin'.
He dresses cool and looks so swell,
You'd rate his looks right off the scale!
When it was time for his hair cut,
Tiger said, "Help me, I'm in a rut."
He asked the barber for a new style,
And after just a little while.
He jumped down from the barber chair,
With a new hairstyle he sure did wear.
Jake's got a whizzing new Mohawk,
It's bound to stir and cause some talk.
When his family looked at his Website,
They weren't so sure they saw him right.
It was their Tiger and he did rock,
Posing with his new Mohawk.

Labor Day At Caddo Lake - 09/2005
We made another trip to Caddo Lake over Labor Day weekend.  But this time we didn't take our boat so we decided to have a guide take us on a tour of the lake instead.  Our guide was Captain Lexie Palmore McMillen, the only woman in America to hold an Unlimited Inland Master's License and First Class Pilot's License on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Rivers.  She has piloted several major river boats, including the Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen.  We stayed in a cabin that sat on several acres of wooded land.  It was perfect for me!  I spent my time riding my new electric John Deere tractor.

2.5 Years Old
These pictures were taken on August 6, 2005, at a new photography studio in Plano.  Unfortunately my photo session was right in the middle of my nap time so I kind of have sleepy eyes.  But that didn't stop me from acting silly as you can tell in most of the pictures.  The photographer took almost 80 shots of me!

Mom Mom & Dad first met with the pool designer in mid-July of 2004.  The pool was finally complete four months later -- mid-November.  We made a splash for the first time on April 17th.  I know where I'll be spending my summer!

Second Birthday - 12/30/2004

For my second birthday, my Mom and Dad took me to the playground in the mall since that's one of my favorite things to do.  My parents were off work for the week between Christmas and New Years so they spent the whole week spoiling me.  I got lots of great gifts.

My New Puppy Cali - 12/19/2004

My Mom and Dad got me a new puppy a week before Christmas.  We decided to name her Caliente but I call her Cali Girl.  My Grandma Anderson was visiting so my parents left me home while they went to pick her up.  I was so excited when they came home.  Cali is a Mini-Dachshund and was born in late-November -- so she was only five weeks old when she came to live with me.

My 24-Hour Puppy Oscar-Meyer - 08/14/2004

My Mom and Dad took me to McKinney Trade Days and I fell in love with the cutest little puppy -- an eight-week old Mini-Dachshund.  I refused to leave without him and fell in love immediately.  We named him Oscar-Meyer.  Unfortunately Oscar was sick so we couldn't keep him.  We had to give him back to the breeder.  I was sad for a few days but was promised that I'd get another puppy real soon.

18 Months Old

These pictures were taken when I was about 18 months old -- just before my Mom and Dad left me at home with my Grandparents (for the first time ever) while they went to Puerto Rico.  They were supposed to be gone for a week but ended up missing me so much that they came home after only three days!

Trip to Utah - 05/2004
Another trip to Utah to see the big family.  We were there from May 26-31.  We went to see my cousin Hunter perform in the First Grade Circus.  I got a little restless from having to sit still so my Grandpa Anderson took me outside to play.  Boy, he didn't know what he was getting into!  On Saturday we had a big Allred Family party to celebrate my cousin Mercedez' birthday.  It was a lot of fun.

13 Months Old
These pictures were taken at Walmart.  I was there with my Mom shopping.  We hadn't planned on getting my pictures taken but the photographer pulled us in as we walked by the studio and said it would only cost $4.88.  Ha!  My Mom left with $60 worth of pictures.  But aren't they cute??

10 Months Old
These pictures were taken at Kiddie Kandids and were my first professional photographs.  My Mom and Dad tried to have my pictures taken when I was just a few months old but I had better things on my mind and didn't feel like cooperating at the time ... so we had to wait until I was 10 months old.  But that's okay because my Mom took over 2,000 pictures of me from the time I was born until I turned a year old anyway.  And as you can tell, she's not slowing down any!

Father's Day 2003
My Mom took these pictures so we could make a Father's Day card for my Daddy.  As you can see, I was more interested in eating the sign than holding it up.  My Dad liked the card but loved the sign even more because all the ink was running on it from all of my slobber.
