MY DADDY'S HAND

Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see,
How very much I need you now to love and care for me.
As my little hand grows bigger, I will surely need you more,
Because everything I do in life I've never done before.
Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving,
Show me through your acts of love the fun and joy of living.
The years will pass by quickly and one day I'll be grown,
I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own.
Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we're apart,
The special love between us, Dad,
I'll keep forever in my heart.

Love,  Tiger

Tiger's Daddy

The first day I laid eyes on Tiger, my heart completely melted.  Stephanie gave birth to him by C-Section and the doctor handed him to me very soon after he was born.  We were having tornados in Dallas that day so all the new babies and mothers were moved to a room in the center of the hospital.  I held Tiger and sat in a chair next to Stephanie's hospital bed for several hours.  You just can't prepare yourself for the joy you'll feel the first time you hold your little one in your arms.  I was terrified that I wouldn't know how to be a Dad, but somehow it just seems to come to me.

Tiger's Mommy

I can't believe it took so long for Tiger to become a part of our family.  I started loving him the second I knew hew was growing in my tummy.  He brings so much joy to my life and I can't imagine it without him.  He's sure a handful but I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything.  He's such a loveable little boy and everything about him makes me smile.  I just wish he wouldn't grow up so quickly.
