Merry Christmas ---

Firstly, Merry Christmas!!! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday and looks forward to a beautiful and joyous New Year!

We celebrated our babies first Christmas with them at Presbyterian Hospital ICN. We visited right before 11:00 pm service at the Church on Christmas Eve and were delighted to get the chance to hold Gabriel. He was the first one ready to be held and all three of us enjoyed it immensely. He seemed to calm down a bit and looked very comfortable in Mommy's arms. After a great Christmas Service at MPUMC, we returned to wish our children Merry Christmas and were given the opportunity to hold Adyn. I held him first, which was amazing, and then after about 15 minutes passed him to Mommy. Again, he was very comfortable with both of us!

It was a great and humbling experience to hold the two boys. Although it was bitter-sweet that we couldn't hold them all and go running for the door [because we wouldn't do that] it was a great! We feel a little more like parents now, and I am sure that will increase over time with the frequency of bonding interactions with all four.

The Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Presbyterian Hospital are amazing people. They work tirelessly night and day to protect and help our children grow and thrive in their difficult situations. That fact is one of the best gifts anyone could ask for. Over the last 90 days now, we've been visiting the hospital [Niury staying there for 50] and we just want to say that everyone at Presbyterian is wonderful. We truly appreciate the dedication and work that has been given to our family over the past three months. We couldn't ask to be in a better place!!!

On that note, I must sign-off. We both have a million thoughts going through our minds each second of each day and we'll be attempting to share a fraction of those through these journals!

" A child is born" Times Four!

Wow!

What a day! Our four children, Adyn, Gabriel, Alivia, and Juliana are doing great over in Hemby ICN. We're in for a roller-coaster ride, as expected, but pray and hope that God will keep them healthy and growing to be big grown little babies. The delivery was amazing and we were completely overwhelmed to hear our little babies crying! They all scored wonderfully on their APGAR scores and so far, so good.

Please keep us in your prayers and hopes! We appreciate everyone's generosity and well thoughts!

We'll keep you updated throughout the coming weeks and months!

Presbyterian Labor & Delivery

Niury's fun stay at home this weekend ended abruptly yesterday - Monday, November 19th, at about 2:00 pm. She started having pretty strong contractions and had to be rushed to the hospital to get treatment to stop the contractions. She is doing "okay" but is being prescribed some pretty strong drugs that make her feel horrible. She's being given steroids in case the kids decide to make their debut this week sometime -- it helps their lungs grow and them develop ahead of schedule in case they come early. Well...special mention needs to be given to Chanty -- Niury's sister for being at the house and driving safely fast to get her to the hospital -- asap! Thanks Titi Chanty!

Thanks to everyone for all your support and words of encouragement. Best wishes to everyone as Thanksgiving Day approaches -- We have a lot to be Thankful for!

Presbyterian Special Maternity - Day 3
Here we are... what a day today was. Work was hectic and knowing my wife is here alone at the hospital all day is just ugh! I try and make my days as short as possible to spend as much time by her side making sure she is doing well and feeling the best she can. "I keep forgetting how things will never be the same again" just came on Don't Forget the Lyrics -- how true.

These next few weeks will be stressful but hopefully Niury will come home soon -- but we know we'll be back just as quickly...then comes the time in the NICU after the babies are here! Another stressful but joyous time. Please keep us all in your prayers...all six (6) of us... Please know we appreciate all your thoughtful words and prayers. And, please feel free to write in the guestbook and fill out our Poll questions!

Presbyterian Triage Room - Round 2
Niury was not feeling well today, so the Doctor's had her come on down to the hospital to get checked out. As expected with quadruplets, preterm labor and contractions is a normal occurrence. She's had several contractions and the doctors have worked to stop them for the time being. Keep us in your prayers and lets keep these babies growing!!!
