Since we didn't know the gender of the baby, we kept the nursery neutral. We also liked keeping it neutral so that we could use it again for other children.

We decided that the theme of the nursery would be Make Way for Ducklings, from the popular children's book. This book was a long-time favorite of Elizabeth's. In addition, the story takes place in the Boston Commons, so this was a fun way of incorporating our New England roots into the baby's room.

Elizabeth's mom painted a scene from the book to add a very original touch.
