After long months of contemplation, Kamau and I are celebrating the name "Axum Raleigh."  Both the first name and the middle name have very interesting derivations. Check it out on the Axum Raleigh page.

We’ve been quite thoughtful about those persons that we would like to serve as helpful guiding forces and spiritual witnesses to Pearl.  We wanted to make sure that we selected people who, to us, valued the concepts of strong spirituality, a love of family, stability, and also have flair about & passion for life. We were dedicated to the task of choosing models that would be selfless enough to have the genuine best interests of someone else's child close to their heart.  We believe that we have in mind the right four people to fit that bill for Pearl.  Through honor, smiles, tears and joyous laughter they all happily accepted.
