As you all can see Junior took his first flight recently (Texas Trip photo album).  We went to visit his godmother and had a great time.  Since he gets to fly for free before the age of 2, he had to pretty much sit on my lap.  Although Junior is a well behaved baby, I was a bit nervous about flying with him because I didn’t know how he was going to react.  I didn't know if he was going to nap at all or if he would get restless sitting on my lap the entire time.  Luckily, he was good on both flights going and coming back. 

On the flight going down he slept the first 45 minutes (flight was 3 hours).  But once he woke up, he was full of energy.  As the flight progressed, his energy level rose and I was super anxious to land.  He wanted to keep standing on my lap or kick them long chunky legs in the air which landed on the back of the seat in front of us a couple times! (oops) LOL

Before we came back home I invested in a portable DVD player in case he didn’t sleep that long.  It turns out, he slept the whole way.  He woke up a half hour before landing… so he pretty much got to watch his cartoons all of 20 minutes.  My little man did great!! Other passengers commented on how good he did and how he is a blessing!! :o)

P.S. He shared his little cereal bites with me for the first time on the plane... literally reached out and put them in my mouth!! He so sweet, my little Bear!!

May 3, 2009, was a very important and special day for my little guy. Junior received his first holy sacrament…Baptism.  He became the newest little member of the Catholic Church. 

My little bear was so cranky on the way to the church because it was around his nap time but once we got there he behaved so well.  He got up from my lap every now and again to bounce around but sat right back down and remained quiet most of the time.  He made it through the ceremony and ended up falling asleep shortly after.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture this joyous moment as my camera’s settings were off and all the pictures taken at the church were very dark and blurry.  I was able to take some of Junior in his suit before we left to the church and those were fine.

It was a day I anticipated so much.  My little angel was transformed by holy water and received God’s salvation on this glorious day!!
