He Finally Figured it Out!
January 31, 2009

Jr. started standing up on his own a few weeks ago and he even inches side to side all around his playpen or his crib now.  But the funny thing is he still hadn't figured out how to sit back down once he stood up.

Goodness forbid I'd be in the shower or something, this child would get stuck standing holding on for dear life!  He would just stand there and cry and screeeeam his little head off until I'd rescue him. My little man was afraid to let go and let his little bottom drop. It was the funniest thing! Lol

Well, not anymore... Jr. finally figured it out and can sit down now! He is 10 months old today, my pumpkincito!

Junior is officially mobile!
December 1, 2008

Junior crawled for the first time today... and I actually witnessed it!! Well, I think this was his first time... lol He crawled a very short distance but my baby did it! It's so exciting to watch him reach his milestones and also a bit difficult to keep my composure. I try my hardest not to scream or laugh because I don't want to startle and interrupt the moment. lol
Now I have to prepare for the workouts I have ahead of me... oh boy!

Yay!! He can sit up!!
November 17, 2008

So Corey Jr. finally sat up on his own today.  I know all babies take their time to reach there milestones individually but I couldn't help to wonder when my little bear was going to do it.  And of course, he goes and does it when mommy isn't looking... as usual.  I turned around for a few and I guess he managed to go from all fours into a sitting position.  I was so proud of my baby! It's the funniest thing though... since it's all new to him and he hasn't quite "mastered" it yet (he topples over sometimes) he pretty much stays put once he does sit up.  He'll sit in the same spot forever! LoL!

Time for those shots again!
October 1, 2008

Ok so it's 2 months later and it was time for that 2nd set of vaccination shots.  I took Junior for his 6 months appointment and all went well.  Yes, 6 months already!!

He was poked 3 times again and had a fit this little one.  He cried for a good 45 minutes and ended up falling asleep on the way home.  We got home, he had his bottle and took a short nap.  I was ready for him to wake up irritable but fortunately he didn't.  Junior woke up smiling and laughing as usual.  He's a STRONG little one, my kid! Check out the bandaids on those little hams he's got for thighs!! LOL

Call him Mr. Independent!
September 6, 2008

Jr. recently started trying to hold his bottle all by himself.  It's still a bit heavy for him and he seems to get tired but he pretty much does it on his own, or at least he tries to.  My little man is growing up way too fast!!!

He finally did it again!!
August 7, 2008

The Juniorman gave his mommy a bit of a surprise today, and not to mention a little scare.  I like to take naps with him on my bed sometimes… so I spread his little blanket out and laid him in the center, as usual.  He was already sleeping, or at least I thought he was. I ran to the kitchen to get something to drink before the nap.  It took me all of 2 minutes I think… when I got back to the room he was on his back!!  He rolled his little butt over!!  I was so excited to see that he finally did it again… after all he IS 4 months old and this is when he’s supposed to be doing that.  How exciting! But mommy knows not to leave him alone on the bed like that again!!

I think you all know by now, I’m something like the paparazzi … always got the camera lying around ready to snap away.  Once again, I didn’t catch him in the act, but I walked in the room and this is what I found…

Bye-Bye bassinet days...
July 29, 2008

Ok so I finally decided that it was time for an upgrade… Yes! Jr. is now officially sleeping in his crib and no longer in the bassinet.  The little one is not so little anymore and needed more space for his chunky butt.  It’s so silly but I actually missed him next to me the first night… and he’s only about 3 feet away now! Lol  I can’t help to look at his bassinet and get a little sad… my little man is no longer that little itty bitty baby! I love how he stretches his arms out, that's how I knew he needed the crib... poor thing was restricted in the bassinet…“Yay! Look at all the room I got now!”

A Huge Discovery...
June 25, 2008

Corey Jr. recently made a huge discovery… he has hands!!  He loves to explore them by staring at them and sucking on them.  He’ll make little fists and then twist and turn them in front of him and stare with such amazement.  They’re like his new toys!

Wake up!!
June 23, 2008

My little Jr. has had his bedtime routine down pretty much since the 1st month.  He hardly woke up throughout the night which was GREAT for me.  I would put him down at about midnight and he would be up for another feeding by 5:30 a.m.  I gradually eliminated that feeding and he started sleeping later.  He now sleeps from 10 p.m. till about 7-8 a.m. and also naps several times during the day.  For the past few days he's slept till 9:30 a.m.  I waited anxiously the other morning for him to wake up so I can feed him.  I stood by his bassinet and was so tickled to see how deep his sleep was so I just had to get my camera! What can I say, my little man LOVES to sleep.

Jr. Smiling & Playing
June 4, 2008

I have to say this bouncer is wonderful! It keeps him entertained for an extended period of time.  Works SO much better than the swing.  He loves the bright colors and he actually focuses on the toys attached.  Well, I was so amazed to see him smiling and carrying on all by himself...

My strong little man can roll over!
June 3, 2008

I'm not exactly sure when he first did it... I just know it was in his first month (which is very early).  There's been several times when I've laid him down on his tummy and when I return he's on his back! So I finally caught him in the act a couple days ago.  Mommy's so proud... lol!

Note: The picture isn't of him rolling over... just thought I'd share another picture of my precious little one!
