We've always enjoyed taking pictures...it's just the doing something with them...that we aren't very good at...our photo taking pleasures have vastly changed from all the toursisty landmarks that we have liked to shoot....to now...as you will see, very Rayyan-centric photos!....Proud parents, i guess...and hey, we never really enjoyed seeing oursleves in pitctures...
We now have a beautiful little addition to the family, our brand new baby girl, Aleena, and we'll keep adding her pictures to this site as well. Children are the most amazing things to photograph, spontaneous and fun, and we hope to capture all their memories and ours and share them with our friends and family.

We quickly realized that Rayyan's true love thus far is his fascination with planes. An airplane theme was a must...not sure if he had more fun at the party...or before the party, getting all the airplane stuff ready for the day. We had his party at Jackie Joyner Olymipc park in Mission Viejo. All went pretty well...except a buncha flies decided to crash the party...and join in on the food...Enjoy our little pilots pics from his second birthday...

The SSRayyan's maiden voyage was a lot of fun. We held his birthday at the Covenant Hills Clubhouse, Ladera Ranch a day after his actual birthday. The usual scrambling around on the day of, in typical Kamal and Zainab style, to get things ready...we generally bite off more than we can chew. As is customary on most kids birthdays...Our little sailor Rayyan didn't cooperate much and decided not to take his midday nap...as he was too excited to kick off his birthday. Rayyan...this year, really figured out the concept of Halloween. A few days prior, we had told him...when he goes to collect candy...say trick or treat...the first house he went to...he just stood there, didn't know what to say....then the second house...he reached out for candy...as he saw the others filling their sacks. I think by the 4th house....he was humming trick or treat all along the way....as he was fascinated at his growing supply of candy....Mama and Pappa burst his bubble, though...as we traded him most of the candy for some fruit snacks....we're sure he'll catch on next year....and the trade wont be so simple... |

We had Rayyan's Aqiqa celebration at Hollywood Bollywood in Orange, CA in Oct, 2004. Many of our family members, friends joined us in this very special occasion for our families. Rayyan slept through the first hour or two, but was sure to open those eyes of his...when he heard there was desert!! |
