Ronin... herewith described affectionately as 'Ronroon the goon' (RTG) went in to the doctor to get the immunisation jabs. As our little man has a bit of 'extra flesh' the shots made little impression on him. RTG found that the immunisation was a breeze compared to his first real meeting with medical professionals at the 'snip'. At least this time he didn't loose 500 grams of weight :)

Always one to be up for a bit of food... Ronin was in attendance of a celebratory brunch at his godmother's house. We had meat, salmon, bread etc. until all attendees were close to explosion point. Yoko & Jesse were also there so we were able to get into a few long conversations regarding Japan and Aussie! Oh and Dad perused a nice Sushi book... and gained 2 pounds.

Uncle Dave came for a visit at just the right time! Within 2 hours of his arrival we were in an Egyptian doctors practice and Ronin was getting the 'snip'! Dad was very brave for about... 2 minutes and then close to fainting had to leave the room for a 'refreshing moment' (i.e a splash of cold water!). Everything went perfectly fine in the end and Ronin was very, very brave and suffered no side effects or stress. Dad on the other hand is permanently scarred.

Nada and Ronin came home safe and sound last week. Nada and I have spent the last few days slowly adjusting to our new member of the family and have started to get into a nice rythem and routine. We'd like to say a very big thank you to all of you who have contacted us and given us your warm wishes and support.

Well, I'll stop with the bribes and the pressure. Fact is, I was late by 1 full month so I guess it's all in the genes. It's quite funny however to come into work each day and have the same surprised faces each time... you're here again??

Anyhow, I have a gut feeling this weekend may be 'b-day', but we'll have to see to know for sure. The one thing I'm sure of is that the longer Ronin takes to come, the more 'Paco' toys I will have in the house. Usually babies build up collections as they grow, ours will inherit one! I'm fairly certain that Nada has the university picked out and perhaps even a potential future wife.

OK... seriously despite all predictions we are now only a handful of days away from the 'target date' Ronins 'due date'... after that... like a bottle of milk, you're just not sure whats keeping it fresh! Or... er... perhaps that's a bad comparison.

So... I'm tired of him playing in the tummy and kicking and turning and basically mocking my anticipation by not doing the 'two days of quiet' previous to the birth which I am waiting for with great anticipation. Christmas Eve we thought it was finally happening and even spent the night on the floor of Marie's woman's center... but to no avail, Mr. Ronin seems to want to be LATE. This is terrible news for my tax claim this year!

So bribery time. Ronin if you come out today (the 28th) or any time before New Years day, Daddy being the wonderful guy he is... will immediately buy you a Vancouver Canucks Trevor Linden jersey!!!! Yes your very own, your size and everything... Vancouver Canucks jersey!!! Man I wish I had that deal... so lets shake on it OK??? Of course to shake... well you know what you need to do! Come out of course... I'm getting gleefully impatient!!!
