Boy, Michelle really wants me to add to this.. So, I suppose the most abstract incredible thing to all of this is that hundreds of people with whom we have relationships with, family, extended family, friends, & more family, are all in anticipation of meeting some little person later this year. Someone who is choosing to enter a very curious planet, at a very curious time. Someone who will probably leave some mark, or make some differnce, or at least leave a permanent stain somewhere. Someone who is very fortunate to have a family, a community and a home where it can grow and enjoy the best things life on this planet has to offer, (in my opinion...). Some little monkey, who will probably want to use my good pencils and crayons, and eat too many cookies and not enough pizza, and stay up late, and talk like a trucker, and pull the cats tail, and throw up in my van, or borrow my van, and come home late, and paint, and sleep much too late into the day, and later, (much later,) be able to run faster than me, and throw farther than me, and draw better than me, and be taller than me, and smarter than me..... and I hope that all gets to happen. but much much much later. For now, Im just focused on supporting this surprising little occurance. (veeeery surprising. Very.) (surprise!) Feeding it the best things i can find, building a nest. Getting used to the thought of some little persons vomit, and other post digestive matters on my skin, clothing and furnishings. All these things are welcome and accepted as we continue writing this crazy story, making it up as we go. If anyone is still reading, thanks very much.
