The last Ultrasound
September 4, 2008
I went in for my final ultrasound today to see how much Parke weighs. Unfortunately, Trae had to work at his rotation in Orlando so he couldnt be there but my mom and Trae's mom were able to come so that was fun! I am 37 weeks pregnant today (due in 3 weeks) and he is measuring 8lbs. 4oz. today!!! They say that in the past month babies put on 1 oz per day of weight, so you do the math!! He really is a BIG BOY!!

Im so excited and definitely ready for a break since sleeping and even just functioning has gotten trickier over the past weeks! As for now, we will have OB appointments every week now and we have an ultrasound scheduled for next week to determine Parke's size! I can't wait!!

We had an amazing photographer come over to our house tonight to take some maternity photos before I start to get too swollen and huge! We took some pictures at our house then headed down to Sand Key Park for some amazing night photos. Visit the photographers blog to view some of the 'teasers'. You'll have to scroll down a little. Our photos are under the heading "Glowing". www.jasonangeliniphotography.com/blog

He's a BIG Boy!
July 14
I had another ultrasound today and unfortunately Trae couldn't be there because he is doing a rotation in Ohio this month. My mom and dad came with me to the appointment and they were excited to see little Parke moving around! I am 29 weeks pregnant now and everything has been going great! Today we found out that Parke weighs an estimated 4 lbs 1 oz which is in the 85th percentile. Since he is measuring so big, Ill get to have another ultrasound in the beginning of September. He may be arriving sooner than expected!!!

It's a......
May 1, 2008
BOY!!!! We had another ultrasound today and right when the tech put the transducer on my belly it was VERY obvious that we are having a little boy. We are pretty sure that his name will be Parke but we haven't settled on a middle name so far. After the ultrasound we went to the outlet mall and went a little crazy buying some cute clothes!! We will be taking Parke on his first vacation this weekend. We are heading up to Blue Ridge GA where we rented a cabin in the mountains with my cousin Kelly, her husband David and their adorable little girl Reagan. Im looking forward to getting away even for a few days!!

OB Appt #2
We had our second OB appt today. Everything is going great. I haven't gained much weight so they told me to eat more, which I have no problem with! I've actually been feeling great. I'm pretty exhausted and I get a little motion sickness in Trae's car but other than that, everything is PERFECT!! I cant wait to find out the sex of the baby in a few weeks!!

First OB Appt and Ultrasound
February 29, 2008
What an exciting day! We had our first OB appt today and got to hear our baby's heartbeat. It was so amazing. Then we were able to see the baby on ultrasound. From the ultrasound measurements, we are farther along than we originally thought and they gave us a due date of September 25th! This is all becoming more real! Now we can tell everyone. I'm so excited!!!

Telling the Family....
February 14, 2008
Although we were very excited about being pregnant, we also know everything that can go wrong in the first trimester so we thought it best to wait a while before spreading the news. We had already made plans to go with my parents on Valentine's Day to a charity dinner. After getting ready at their house, Trae and I came downstairs with a gift for each of them. The gifts were books; The Grandma Book and The Grandpa Book. Their reactions were priceless. My mom was thrilled and all my dad could do was ask questions about how this would work with us both in medical school! A few days later we were in Lakeland for our niece, Chloe's, birthday party. After the kids were all settled in bed, Trae's parents, Lindsay, Matt, Pete and Amanda were all hanging around talking. I told everyone that I had just finished a scrapbook that I wanted them all to see. In the book were photos of me 'eating for two', 'a bun in the oven', etc. Lindsay and Amanda immediately caught on (as they were already a little suspicious!). Once everyone else realized what we were saying, they were so excited!! We asked that everyone keep it a secret until after our first OB appt, which was 2 weeks away. It was difficult but they all held it in!

Surprise... We're Pregnant
February 2, 2008
The month of January had flown by as Trae and I were both really enjoying our rotations. He had Surgery and I had Pediatrics. It is a well-known fact by all medical students that when you are on your Peds rotation you will get sick. With only 1 day left in the month I was struck by the 'peds curse' of gastroenteritis. Knowing that this illness would pass in a matter of a day, I took off the last day of my rotation and rested up at home. Unfortunately, the weekend came and my nausea and vomiting did not subside. Suspicious, Trae asked if he needed to take a trip to the drug store to get a pregnancy test and I figured it couldn't hurt. Once he returned, I took the test. After a long three minutes, we looked at the result together.....Pregnant! After the initial shock and quite a few tears came the excitement. For now we had our own little secret and in just 8 months we would be parents!!!
