Carmela had her first trip to our family dentist yesterday-August 30th 2005

She had her teeth cleaned & counted (20) & was so good she got to pick a few prizes out of the prize box

Daddy was so proud she got special M&M; treats after school (hmmm -M&M;'s-Dentist.........)

Carmela is definately now potty trained. She no longer wears pull ups except for naptime & bedtime & ALWAYS tells us when she has to go. She loves to way bye bye to the pee pee & poo poo (a bit too much for Mommy'sv taste) but whatever it takes...........

Here's how the story went........ It was about 6 pm on Monday 9-27-04 & I was in the kitchen cooking, Jim was out mowing the lawn & Carmela was in her crib playing, reading her books etc......-or so I thought

After about 20 minutes I hear this little voice behind me in the kitchen saying "I got out Mommy, I got out Mommy"!

You guessed it, my little escape artist had throwm her leg over the top of her crib & shimmied down the front.

So it was off to Toys R Us as I was having images that if I left her in the crib that night she would get her leg stuck in the slats & broken it or worse go head first over the top giving herself a concussion

So as you can see from the pic this is Carmela's new "big girl" bed.

So far so good-she slept all night & called for me in the morning like she always does to come get her

We'll see how the rest of the week goes-wish us luck!

Oma bought Carmela her first potty yesterday & today she decided it was time to "go" :)

Every day Carmela starts to know more & more-now instead of "what's that" all the time she's pointing at the objects & saying tree, Penny, duck,frog -it's the greatest-starting to feel like all the teaching is paying off

Why not give everyone a surprise on my birthday & take my first steps-well it had to be a memorable day that no one would forget

I'm tired of just laying around-I need to get moving & see what's really going on so I started to crawl today to find out for myself

Well here it is my first tooth-bottom left-very pearly white if I do say so myself

Well I decided I wanted more than just formula today. Rice cereal that was my choice & I had it at Aunt Maria's too :)

What made me finally laugh out loud-well Mommy & Daddy of course & then they called everyone & tried to get me to laugh more on the phone so they could hear too-of course I did-I am a ham you know

Now this is something Mommy & Daddy have really really been trying to get me to do so I figured why not I'll sleep tonight

Mommy & Daddy have been trying so hard to make me smile & today I finally did!

Mommy was able to give me my first real bath today because my umbilical cord finally fell off-yah!!!

Well I had to meet the Dr today. They had to see how beautifal I was for themselves you know

I came home today for the first time-I saw my pretty room that all my Aunt's painted for me. My Aunt Joy, Aunt Amy.I finally got to meet my dog Penny too. Boy am I glad to be home
