We went to the doctor the other night. They said baby is looking great! We had a soon at the doc and then another 3D sono at a place in Port Jefferson. Both technicians said baby is measuring about 3 weeks ahead of his due date, weighing in at about 5 lbs. 7 oz. so far! They also both said he has a lot of hair! This just makes me even more curious to see what he looks like when he is born. I am feeling great, other than being uncomfortable...I have major back pain and heartburn, but I guess that comes with the territory. John has been working on the nursery....I think it's all going to come together fairly quickly at this point. All of his furniture is ordered and will be set up for delivery in the next 2 weeks. These days, I'm feeling very pregnant! My baby moves around all the time and now, it actually hurts sometimes! However, I still love feeling him squirm around in there. My belly has been taking on unusual shapes as he shifts, kicks, and punches from within. After being almost completely free and clear of heartburn and indigestion, it is back...in FULL effect! It's horrible. I feel so uncomfortable. It's hard to move, get up from the couch, and turn over in bed. I have back aches and constantly feel like my stomach is up to my lungs and my chest. In any case, I cannot believe how fast this has gone and I'm starting to feel many emotions about the remaining 8 weeks of this pregnancy. I'm so curious, so excited and definitely a little nervous for the baby's arrival. I don't know why, but I feel like I'm not going to make it for the full 8 weeks....but, we shall see!

Well, as you can see if you checked out my pics, my belly is growing, growing, growing! (Also check out our new album with baby pics of mommy and daddy). The baby is very active...he moves all the time every day..it's very exciting; he has some hook and jab! I had a doc appt two days ago and they said his heartbeat is great and everything looks good. Next sono is in 3 weeks and from there, I will be going to the doc every two weeks until the very end when I start going weekly. I can't believe we are in the third trimester! Time is flying. Before you know it, he will be here. I am becoming uncomfortable...my belly is big and it is hard to breathe! I have been waking up in the middle of the night almost every night, unable to fall back asleep for one-three hours, hence, I am very tired throughout most days. I had my glucose test this morning and will have the results tomorrow. Hopefully baby is good and we don't have to go back for the 3 hour test. The orange drink was gross, but not totally unbearable...It made me feel like I was going to fall asleep sitting in the waiting room though; I definitely crashed at the end of the hour. The nursery preparations have begun. We are in the beginning stages, as I am taking forever to pick out paint colors! Will post pics once the room is all painted. Thanks for checking in. This entry is by daddy. Mommy has been to the doc regularly and everything is going according to plan. The baby is getting so big and is moving constantly! We have begun construction on the nursery and getting very excited as we count down the months. Check back soon for another entry by mommy and more pictures of the nursery in progress!

Well, I am deep into completing my baby registry. I didn't realize how much work it would really be! While a little overwhelming, it is definitely fun. I am happy to say I am feeling good other than still being tired a lot. My belly is growing and I feel the baby moving around every day! The sensations are both exciting and at times, startling, especially when I'm just walking down the hallway at work and all the sudden he starts kicking or pressing down on my lower abdomen...it's a weird feeling, like other people may be aware of it, even though I know they aren't! John has started the construction to move biggest brother's room downstairs and once that is complete, we will begin the nursery. It's all happening ssooo fast!

We found out two days ago (on Wednesday) that we are having a boy!! He was moving all around, yawning, making bubbles and moving his arms and legs actively. We are all excited to meet the little munchkin and will now focus on choosing a name for him. I've been feeling great, minus the horrible tooth ache I had last week and a few other minor things. I don't know what "they" are talking about when they say the second trimester you get a burst of energy, because I certainly haven't! I love my sleep dearly and require a great amount of it even still! My stomach has popped in the last few days and though still small, it is now pretty much impossible to conceal and is obvious that I am pregnant. It is only now that I really NEED the maternity clothes, and even at that, it's just my pants and jeans that I need maternity...still wearing all of my other regular clothes though. I feel so lucky for that! It is all becoming much more real now and we are getting really extra excited!! I can't wait to start doing the nursery!!

So, I've been having some whacky dreams for the past several weeks. I don't normally remember my dreams, but these dreams definitely stand out when I wake up in the morning. Weird, random clips of random people and random things. Several of them almost every night! In the last week, I've felt the baby move for the first time and now several times thereafter! So exciting. The first time startled me, but brought smile to my face and such a warm feeling of excitement within...Two more weeks until we know if we are having a boy or a girl!!

Still feeling pretty good, except that lately I've been experiencing shortness of breath. The heartburn and indigestion has subsided a little, which I am thankful for. I ordered my first batch of maternity clothes earlier today. I'm still fitting into my regular clothes, but I just feel like any day now, I'm going to wake up for work and have nothing to wear because I'm too big! We had our 12 week sono, which was amazing. We saw the baby moving all around inside of me and we got some pretty good pics. They bumped the due date up a few days, but we'll see...excited to go back in a few weeks to hear the heartbeat and soon after have another sono.

My clothes are definitely becoming snug. My waistline is certainly disappearing and I think I see a shopping spree in the very near future...lol. I've seen those bella bands/belly bands in the stores, but I just don't envision them to be very comfortable. Any words of wisdom on that would be appreciated.

I haven't slept through the night in weeks...I guess my baby is preparing me well in advance! I wake up an average of 3 times per night to use the bathroom and lots of times I can't fall back asleep :-( ....I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end!

So far, I feel fortunate that most days I feel pretty good. I've had some common early pregnancy symptoms, such as heartburn, nausea, headaches, breast tenderness, and fatigue, but luckily no throwing up! I haven't had any specific cravings, however, I do find that I am eating more carbs than usual and I am less inclined to eat sweets and more drawn to "regular" food. Overall, some days are just better than others!
